Olanrewaju Michael George (OMG) Mourns Former Head Of State, Ernest Shonekan

Olanrewaju Michael George has described the death of a former Head of State, Ernest Shonekan as a great loss to Ogun State and Nigeria at large.

Shonekan, who died on Tuesday morning at the age of 85, served as the interim Head of State of Nigeria from 26 August 1993 to 17 November 1993.

Reacting to the news of his death, OMG said that Nigerians and Ogun state will miss the wisdom of Chief Shonekan which is even more needed as the nation approaches another election cycle.

He said: “The death of Chief Ernest Shonekan is a great loss to Ogun State and Nigeria in general. He lived an exemplary life which is worth emulating. The nation will miss his wisdom at this point as Nigeria approaches another election cycle.”

OMG prays for the repose of his soul while condoling with his family and the people of Ogun State.
