THE MAN CALLED OMO GEORGE (OMG)

To many people, Olanrewaju Micheal George is a man who has since devoted his life for the betterment of Ogun State, and its people. But aside from that, he’s an astute businessman and a very dependable philanthropist, whose God-given life is dedicated to humanity.

Widely known as OMG, the Remo-born business doyen took it upon himself to provide exceptional support and service to not only the people of his hometown, Sagamu Remo, but the people of Ogun State at large.

He discerns quickly people’s individual needs and moves efficiently to provide key information, facilities, recommendations and direction. Beyond these and even in the rare case that he’s not available.

OMG has directed his associates, friends, family, and staff, to bring to his awareness when matters concerning Ogun people arise. He’s simply a man of the people, and he’s loved by many.

Leveraging Olanrewaju Omo-George Foundation (OOGF), Amigmex Foundation, and Olanrewaju Michael George (OMG) Social Club, which he all founded, he has directly contributed to the basic needs of people, amongst which is monthly stipends for widows.

Born on June 26, 1984 in Sagamu Local Government, Ogun State Nigeria, OMG started his academic journey from Army Children School Sagamu, after which he advanced to Methodist Comprehensive College. In a quest to seek more knowledge, and how things are done in the developed world, he later moved out of the country for his tertiary education, which he had at Universidad Del Valle De México.

Living in Mexico, OMG discovered that Black people couldn’t satisfy their cravings. Hence, he started the importation of African foods into the country. As time went on, the erudite investor expanded his footprints in other fields that include -oil and gas, and automobiles.

Through his numerous contributions to leadership and humanitarian-related activities, OMG has earned himself admirable accolades, such that he’s a recipient of many prestigious awards. Amongst the recognitions are -Mentorship Award from APC Youth League in South-West. Nigeria; Excellence Award from Rotaract Club of Sagamu, District 9110; Award of Excellence from Ewuga Olorunsogo CDA, Makun, Sagamu; National Leadership Award as Icon of Leadership and Humanity from National Youth Parliament; Special Recognition Award from Ewuga Youth Development Association, Sagamu; Award of Excellence from Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide, and Special Award from MIC Islamic Association Inc. Award of Excellence by Association of Principals of Secondary Schools, Ogun State and Commander of NULGE (NOC), by Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees, Ogun State Chapter.

Distinguished sons and daughters of Sagamu, home and diaspora, we present to you Micheal Olanrewaju George OMG as the 2021 Sagamu Young Icon of the year.
