Sen. (Obong) Bassey Albert Akpan Emerged Patron Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC)

The Senator representing Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District and Chairman Senate Committee on Petroleum Upstream, Distinguished (Obong) Senator Bassey Albert – OBA was decorated by the leadership of the Nigerian Youth Congress as National Patron.

The delegation which was led by the President of Nigerian Youth Congress, Blessing Adebowale Akinlosotu to decorate the Senator at his office at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja, also in attendance were Dr. Raymond Edoh – Secretary-General, Comr. Stephen Abraham Narai – Vice President, North Central, Barr. Aniekan Etim, Chairman – Akwa Ibom State, NYC, Amb. Hon. Ekemini Ukim, Leader, Miss Blessing Ambrose Solomon – Akwa Ibom State Member, and Comr. Joel Raphael Ekandem – Akwa Ibom State Member.

Senator Bassey was the former Commissioner for Finance in Akwa Ibom State before becoming a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2015 and was also reelected in 2019 for the second time as a result of service delivery and excellent representation.

Indeed, no little wonder why the youths always rally around him and also look up to him as the hope of the feature of Akwa Ibom Youth and Nigerian Youth at large.
