Topic: Breaking Financial Limitation

Bible Ref: Matt.17:27; Luke 15:12-14; Prov. 21:17.

Prosperity is not all about money, but there will be no prosperity without money.

Money is very important, but money alone does not guarantee financial breakthrough. What you need is the wisdom, the concepts and the ideas to create wealth and to sustain it.
If you want to break financial limitations, you have to follow instructions.

Matthew 17:27, “Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.”Peter was a professional fisher man, who knows everything about fishing, but when Jesus instructed him, he obeyed.

He never argued with Jesus that that is impossible from his knowledge as an experienced fisherman. He knows that the One who is instructing him knows more than he (Peter) does. One of the reasons so many people are still struggling in poverty is their refusal to follow instructions.

Life is governed by principles. If you don’t learn how to follow instructions you will be obstructed in life Instructions remove Obstructions in life. Learn to follow instructions from those ahead of you.

Beloved, for you to break financial limitations, you have to avoid Riotous living.
Luke 15:13, “And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.”

There is no amount of wealth that a riotous lifestyle cannot waste. If you do not seriously caution your lifestyle, and cultivate habits that will help to sustain your wealth, it’s just a matter of time, it will completely deplete.

Just like the prodigal son lavished his inheritance by living a riotous life, extravagant living will do so for anyone else. He does not inherit the wealthy mind that created the wealth, he only inherited the wealth. So, he couldn’t keep it.

Proverbs 21:17, “He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.”
You are not meant to spend for pleasure at the time of investment. The time you are to spend for investment, don’t use it for pleasure. There is time for everything.

Do you know why God gave you strength while you are young?
God gave you strength at your youthful age for you to work; the youthful energy and strength is for investment. It is out of what you have while young ( investment) that will service you when you become old (pleasure).

That is your life retirement benefit.
Don’t live an extravagant life, when you know you don’t have an investment. Learn to spend less and invest more.
