The Omo Alausa foundation has presented free drugs worth millions of naira to over 1000 beneficiaries of Epe divisions as they organized a free medical outreach to all residents of Epe division in Lagos State, August24news TV has gathered.
The well attended program took place last Saturday at the prestigious Epe Local Government, Epe, Lagos.
Omo Alausa foundation is non government organization that focus on healthcare, welfarism, empowerment , soft loan to market women, scholarships to the outstanding student in Lagos State, Community service and more to reduce poverty within the state.
The foundation was in collaboration with a giant medical consultancy, star healthcare consultancy.
The theme for the program was tagged ”SUPER HEROES, SUPER HEALTH.
August24news TV correspondent AJAGBE ADEYEMI TESLIM gathered that the event witnessed large turn out with mamooth crowd of different age groups, men and women, working and non working class and even the children were not left behind as part of the beneficiaries.
One of the Doctors from Star Health care consultancy, said Dr. Olulaja Oluwafemi educated the participants on the major ways to have a sound health life. He emphasize on risks attached to diabetes and high blood pressure.
At the gathering, qualified medical experts were on ground with their medical kits for proper attention to the participants, after extensive consultation with doctors, drugs were prescribed and given for all sort of ailments.
During the program, free medical lectures on diabetes, highblood pressure, cancer was given before the general checkup and medication.
Some of the participants who benefitted from the free outreach spoke with our corespondents as they could not hide their feeling for the kind gesture given to them by the Omo Alausa Foundation.
Co-founder of Star Healthcare consultancy who head the medical team, was Mr. Taiwo Tijani, he spoke on the program theme and the collaboration between the organization and the foundation.
In an interview with the representatives of Omo Alausa Foundation, Mr. Amechi Jerimayah told our correspondent about the Foundation and reason why such program was organize during that period because the CEO want his people in Epe Division to check their health status and received the free treatment before exposing themselves to the festive season stress. He also said that the program will be a continuous things all over lagos state.
Commenting on the exercise, Epe Local government staff, Mr. Moruf Ogutuyi expressed confidence on the Doctors saying they are capable and professionals in discharging their duties.
Different villages from Epe who attended the free health care where Eredo, Noforija, Poka, Iraiye, Oke Osho, Agbowa, Itokin, Ejinrin, Ketu, Ilara, Noforija, Igboye, Odo Gbawujo, Odomola, Iragunsin but few to mention.
It will be correct to say that Dr. Olayinka Alausa and US based physician and son of late Alhaji Aremu Anofi Alausa and his lovely wife are the brain behind the famous Omo Alausa Foundation.
