OOGF ENROLLS 6-YEAR-OLD PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED OPEYEMI INTO SCHOOL
To further strengthen the hope of Master Opeyemi Akinsanya, the physically challenged boy and make his dreams and aspirations to becoming an asset to the society come true, the foundation on Tuesday, 4th May enrolled him at Castle of Kings and Queens Montessori School in Sagamu.
It was indeed emotional moments as excited Opeyemi who has never been to school, said; wearing uniform was the least thing he had thought of in life as no one around him had the intention of taking him to school.
Recall that things began to change for Opeyemi after he was discovered during one of our medical outreach in Sagamu, Ogun state. At that time, Opeyemi received a wheelchair from us to ease his mobility challenges and thereafter, on Monday, 23rd November, 2020 he was offered a full scholarship but could not resume school due to the academic calendar.
As promised, the scholarship will cover his educational needs from nusery school to secondary school level. We are doing this to restore hopes and transform the lives of people irrespective of the challenges they are going through. With education, physically challenged people will be well integrated into the society, shun street begging and will be able to fulfill their dreams
