3rd World Omoluabi Festival: Gov. Dapo Abiodun and others bagged Omoluwabi royal award.

The entire Ogun State is filled with joyful moment as His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, and the Honourable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism Hon. Dr. Emmanuel Taiwo and other important dignitaries bagged the Omoluabi Royal Icon Award at the 3rd World Omoluabi Day Festival help on the 1st of May, 2021 at Ile-Ife.

This Award is said to be the most prestigious Award of Yoruba Land from the stable of Igbimo Apapo Yoruba Lagbaye the umbrella body of Yoruba Council of Women and Youths Worldwide (YCYW & YCWW) on the authority of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Enitan Babatunde Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife and His Imperial Majesty, Oba Olayiwole Lamidi Adeyemi III, the Alaafin of Oyo.

The Ogun State delegates awards was championed under the nomination of the Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide (YCYW), Ogun State Council, under the chairmanship of Hon. Sunday Adebowale.

Speaking with the press, Hon. Sunday Adebowale reiterated that the Governor’s nomination was appreciate State government under the led administration of His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism under Commissioner Oluwatoyin Emmanuel Taiwo for their unflinching support towards promoting and protecting the culture, Arts and traditional heritage of the state, amongst which is the establishment of the Ogun State Arts gallery that has just been opened at the cultural center, Kuro Abeokuta.

Also is the government’s support towards catering for the welfarism of all citizens/ delegates from Ogun State at Ile-Ife, Osun State, he further added that the council once against, commend the effort Mr Oluwaseye Adeyemo who represented the Commissioner at the grand event was a very wonderful man who deserves all accolades, Thank you for building our future together with us.

We can’t but also appreciate the leadership of Igbimọ Àpapọ Yoruba Lagbaye (Yoruba Council of Youths and Women Worldwide) under the Global Presidency of Aare Barr. Akanni Oladotun Hassan Esq. and all other leaders who made the day a successful and historical event, our prayer is that may we live to witness many of this day on earth.

We therefore specially acknowledge as well appreciate our fathers and mothers who from all nooks and crannies of our beloved State graced the event and for their supports, most especially our lucky recipients of the Omoluabi Royal Icon Award, as listed below;

However, we hereby use this medium to call on all fellow tribes men and women around the world most especially in Ogun State to be good Ambassadors of peace, unity, and oneness as Omoluabis that we are, and for that reason we on the same vain urge us all to be security conscious at our respective situations, localities and communities.
